How to Lose 10 Pounds Before a Big Event
The big date is on Saturday night, which means you've only got a week to shed some unwanted pounds! And now you've probably been looking at yourself in the mirror, cussing enough to make a sailor blush and wondering how to lose ten pounds by wishing it off. Sorry Cinderella, there's no fairy godmother to grant your wishes now. But don't lose hope! It's possible, and I'm going to tell you how to do it.
Water, Water, and more Water!
Yes, that's what I said: Water.
You can lose weight quickly with water. The first thing you need to know is that your body retains water naturally. When we drink it in excess, our bodies let go of that death grip they use to stingily keep hold of that extra water. This is one of the keys to losing that extra weight, and in less than a week.
Here's how to lose 10 pounds: Drink a lot of water every day. By "a lot", I mean 100 ounces every single day for a week.
What's that, you say? You hate water? You're not alone, but there are ways to make it taste better. Freshen it up with a bit of lemon or lime. Sweeten it with a slight dab of honey if you have to, but drink your butt off. Literally!
Eat Smaller Portions.
Many people who want to know how to lose 10 pounds quickly neglect this little trick. Rather than eating three large meals, eat 6 meals a day! You heard that right: 6 meals every day. The trick is to make them much smaller than a normal-sized meal.
An example of the ideal size is 1 or 2 ounces of lean meat and, say, 1/2 cup of vegetables like spinach or some other greens. You do that and you'll be able to impress Mr. Hot Pant with the slimmer you.
But no matter what, you should never starve! You still need to eat and nourish your body; simply take in smaller portions and drink all that water.
By Saturday night, you can fit into that great dress and hey, after you get home you can put away that box of Rocky Road!
