Sheer Cover Makeup, Makes Up Where Others Fail

by Samantha Steiner

Sheer cover makeup works by giving the skin a more natural appearance, giving the appearance of not having used makeup at all. With this sheer cover makeup, the skin is able to breathe and feels more relaxed and natural. Mineral makeup dispenses with the use of artificial ingredients such as synthetic chemicals and dyes, it is made from pigments of natural minerals, it can be called organic makeup. Certain minerals used in it, such as zinc, use reflective properties to make lines and wrinkles less visible.

Also known as bareminerals, the sheer cover makeup is getting more popular day by day, especially among younger women. Long suffering women who are tired of the traditional liquid and cream foundation that makes them feel like they are wearing masks, are now feeling happy and relieved with the lightness of bareminerals. However, some women, mainly over 35 years old, are not impressed about mineral makeup's advantages. That may probably be because older and dry skin requires much more elaborate and proper moisturizing before applying this makeup.

In addition, some women apply too much powder. With the mineral cosmetics, you don't need a lot of powder at all. In fact, dry or aged skin will need less than normal skin. As you use the product, you will get a feel for how much powder is right for you, and you won't make the mistake of applying too much.

Applying mineral makeup also requires some special techniques. To start, the face should be clean and moisturized, allowing at least a couple of minutes for the skin to absorb the moisturizer, so that it is no longer wet when you apply the makeup. After that, dip a large brush into the minerals, tapping it to get rid of excess powder, and dust it over the face gently in a circular motion. Start from the edges of the face toward the nose.

Facial complexion may seem to be somewhat dry for the first few minutes, but the makeup's effectiveness will become apparent once the powder blends with the naturally secreted oils of your skin: your face seems to freshen up and your skin looks flawless. Titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, two of the included minerals, block the sun and protect the skin from the harsh light of day. The makeup does an excellent job of minimizing any scars and broken capillaries.

Increasing number of women who are aware of the advantages of mineral makeup, also use pressed mineral foundation makeup as a stand-alone cosmetic or as a complement to mineral foundation by blending the two. The pressed mineral foundation makeup is very good in controlling the oily look and at the same time remaining lightweight throughout the day.
