Self-Confidence Through Self Hypnosis and Neuro-Linguistic Programming
Self confidence is a psychological and emotional mindset that responds to a person's need for peer recognition and self-acceptance. It is one among the oldest and most discussed concepts in psychology. It describes a good although adequate perception of oneself and one's abilities. Hence, self-confident people frequently have a better idea of the things they are able to do and are more likely to be successful in what they attempt. They are able to more easily accept and understand their mistakes.
By contrast, a lack of confidence might deter you from trusting that what you do and decide will eventually work out as you had planned. It can thus hinder the development of decision-making aptitudes, planning and management abilities all of which are basic and sought-after things in today's business world. The pre-occupation with other people's opinions of your work can also cause you to become too self-critical, which can distract you from jobs you would otherwise be absolutely able to do.
Low self confidence will also have an impact your social life, as individuals with low self confidence tend to stay in their "comfort zone" and dread the risk of rejection. This is called social phobia and has a high level of co-morbidity with low self confidence, as well as other psychological diseases like depression. People with low self confidence are scared of the judgment of their peers and will avoid meeting new people, which can in turn lead to isolation and even lower self confidence. Low self confidence is a vicious circle that's difficult to break.
To the contrary, because they are able to trust their own aptitudes, self-confident people are able to do what they feel is appropriate and don't feel the need for the approval of others. They are also able to trigger confidence: your relatives, friends, boss, customers or employees are more likely to trust you or the things you are telling them when you appear self-confident.
Numerous experiences can lead to low self confidence. Recent research shows that education has a critical effect on the development of the self confidence of a child. Bodily and psychological abuses during childhood are for instance the most damaging to a person's self confidence, as well as divorce and family conflicts. Overprotective parents can also be a reason for a child's social phobia and hamper the independence that is necessary to build self confidence. Successes and failures, for instance at school or in one's professional life, also play a major role: losing a job or failing a class are among the numerous experiences that will negatively affect your self confidence.
There are however methods to overcome those bad experiences and improve confidence. The first thing to do in order to build self confidence is to learn to know yourself and what your strengths are. Admitting the fact that you cannot be perfect and cannot be good in everything you do will help you build self confidence. Accepting yourself as you are is the key to gaining self confidence. But improving self confidence also requires that you start taking risks and giving yourself credit for your accomplishments. This is very simple advice that will help you improve self confidence. You might also find many books that will claim they can help you build self confidence, but not all of them are reliable.
A great number of people suffer from low self confidence or are only able to gain self confidence in one or a few areas of their lives because they always seek other people's approval and are scared that they could fail. Several factors, including childhood traumas, can explain why certain people can't enjoy the wholesome life a self confident person could have. These individuals also do not always know how to gain self confidence. But gaining self confidence can now easily and effectively be done with hypnosis and NLP.
As we have seen before low self confidence and social phobia can be caused by traumas or unconscious fears that may be difficult to overcome through self persuasion only. Confidence hypnosis and NLP by contrast are able to get to the unconscious part of the brain and change belief systems to boost self confidence. They are powerful tools that will help you address your fears and believe in yourself to develop self confidence.
Hypnosis for building self-confidence has been used for numerous years and has shown significant results in building self confidence. In a hypnotic state, reaching unconscious thoughts is much easier and, thanks to hypnotic suggestion, you will be able to replace your negative thought patterns with positive ones to boost self confidence.
